This weekend was my last off before my return to work, we had spent the majority of Saturday gardening so come Sunday I was itching to do something with last day of freedom. After a morning of brainstorming we decided on an impromptu trip to Sywell Aerodrome, a first for all of us.
Me and Will are big fans of army museums and as Dylan has never seen a plane up close, it seemed the perfect combination. The museum was rather small but there were plenty of little pieces to keep Dylan interested, he especially enjoyed the old ammunition . Along with the free museum Dylan loved watching the planes and helicopters take off, and if the weather was warmer he could have watched them for ages.
On the 2nd and 3rd May the aerodrome is hosting an Atomic Vintage Festival, with live music, a vintage clothing market, beauty parlour and photo booth. I’m gutted to have to miss it as it sounds amazing!
